Blue Gecko has been a heavy supporter of open database systems since our inception in 2001.  Our LAMP support team, which includes MySQL and related database support, have worked with Postgres customers since 2006.

Considered by many to be the most advanced open source database in the world, Postgres is a feature-rich, ANSI-SQL standards compliant RDBMS that also boasts many advanced features such as point in time recovery, tablespaces, asynchronous replication, nested transactions (savepoints), online/hot backups, international character sets, and write ahead logging for fault tolerance.

Postgres Support Overview

Blue Gecko supports all Postgres releases on any OS platform.  As with all of our supported databases, no vendor or third-party support contracts are required for us to provide operational support for our customers’ Postgres systems.  We specialize in operational support of Postgres databases, regularly performing such tasks as:
