MySQL Support Overview

Blue Gecko supports MySQL database as well as popular branches including MariaDB, Drizzle, Percona, and others.  We do not require supported binaries from MySQL or vendor support contracts of any kind to support customer systems.  We specialize in operational administrative support, which regularly includes:

  • Performance monitoring and tuning
  • Replication implementation and management
  • Implementations, upgrades
  • Change management
  • Complex architecture and design including multiple slaves and multi-master databases
  • Capacity and maintenance planning
  • Storage engine selection and optimization
  • MySQL on Amazon Web Services

Blue Gecko adopted MySQL as a supported database platform in 2002.  Since then, our MySQL team has grown to include the entire LAMP stack (including Postgres SQL) providing support for complex open source systems all over the world.  Our MySQL DBAs are regularly invited to speak at conferences such as OSBridge and Velocity.
