Sarah
Sarah, a partner, used to actually work on servers, but now spends way more time directing traffic and conversing with customers on conference calls.
Chuck
El Presidente and a founding partner, Chuck’s extensive experience with Oracle E-Business Suite and a background in Business Analysis gives him a leg up to lead this band of independent technologists.
JJ
Our Oracle oracle. Give JJ, a founding partner, 15 minutes on your Oracle database and he’ll be able to divine a multitude of tuning suggestions. You think he’s just another expert, we believe him to actually do magic.
E-Business
Rick
Rick’s taken on our Oracle E-Business Suite team and is busily encouraging all our customers to make sure they’re up to date on the latest patch sets. His southern charm is a key lubricant in these conversations.
Shad
Shad is one of our super-star Oracle E-Business Suite DBAs. Actually, he’s just a great Oracle DBA in general. Come to think of it, he can beautifully handle pretty much anything Oracle stamps it’s name on.
Ian
Ian rocks the network (oh, and he’s a pretty good DBA too). His baby is our collected VPN connections to our Remote Management Customers.
Oracle
Jeremiah
We could say, Jeremiah is new and so far we like him, but we’ve all been working with him for years. He is Blue Gecko’s man about town. He’s frequently speaking and teaching all things Oracle. Check out our events page to see where he will be next.
Steven
We call him Mr RAC (and sometimes when he’s not around Mr. Logical Standby). Steven has an exalted record of fixing problems and giving exemplary customer service.
Mark
We all find Mark dashingly handsome (and incredibly modest), but it’s his Oracle skills that really endear him to us. His patience and methodicalness make him an excellent teacher for clients and internal staff alike.
Hosting and Infrastructure
Jonathan
Able to tune Apache and MySQL within an inch of their lives, Jonathan is also the front of tribal knowledge as our most senior employee (only in the term of his employment, he’s actually quite young).
Ed
Pl/SQL anyone? Ed’s the architect behind our custom Oracle monitoring. We fear he could get an Oracle Database to warn us if it had an itch.
Support Staff
Cathy
Our first non-technical hire. Cathy’s background is in operational process management. She’s bitten off quite a bit here tightening up our processes and learning way more about the gnarly internals of technology than she thought she would.
Yelena
Yelena is the soul of our office, and a multitalented individual at that. She designs our websites and collateral materials as well as keeps our bills paid and the staff in line with liberal use of Nerf guns.
Ken
Our sales guy with a smile! Our customers and prospective customers love that he works to understand their pain and only suggest our services when they’re truly useful.
LAMP-MySQL
Mike
Mike’s background in large-scale development is an unconventional route to operations and administration, but he brings us an equally individual perspective to troubleshooting. His calm ability to read straces under pressure are unparalleled.
Bill
Bill’s our resident curmudgeonly night person. He’s also a delightful Bill of all trades. He keeps tickets moving along during the wee hours.
Gordon
Doesn’t everyone enjoy working with someone who’s excited to work on anything and is constantly smiling? Gordon’s background is end user support; which has encouraged his patience to flourish.
LAMP-MySQL
Harvey
There are those who just love night shift. Harvey is one of those people. We’re thrilled he wants to contribute to Blue Gecko during the hours that the rest of us would rather sleep.
Damian
Damian is an anomaly among technologists, an early bird. He’s the first person to see the daylight’s tickets and starts the day off talking to customers and solving problems while some of us get to keep dreaming.
Don
Don patrols the evening queues, making sure anything that goes bump in the night is handled with skill and agility. We all sleep better knowing he has our backs in the wee hours.
